HO-scale model

Our first model for joint use was at an HO-scale. As many of the founders were HO- supporters this was just a logical sequence. This model was our first exhibition specimen in the GLASS PAVILION in Pirna in 1968.

In 1981 we started a new project which measured 12 x 3m, for joint use, but has never been finished.

Following the strong desire of the majority of the members, we started again a new model on a large scale for joint use in 1995. In April, the same year, planning started for 6 segments. Two main tracks independently functioning and towards opposite directions make out the picture of the HO- segment model. The model, measuring 12.6 x 1.3 metres with 180m entire length of rails and with 40 courses has been equipped with an overhead cable so that E-locomotives can be operated according to standards with an equipped pantograph.

On this main trail 20 trains can be taken into operation simultaneously. The yard in the background, which has two rails and is fully automated, serves for a change in the order of trains and offers a welcome artificial break for the locomotives. Different signals are enabled to be shown on the trail block system.
